The first page of registration on the site asks for your basic information – whether you’re a couple or someone looking for fun on your own, your birthday, your location, as well as a headline and a brief description for your profile. The next page asks for information on your ‘Appearance and Situation’, or in other words, is a series of drop down menus for your physical appearance as well as a few questions about your current lifestyle: whether or not you have kids, what relationship you are / aren’t in, whether or not you have pets, and lastly, whether or not you’d be willing to relocate.
The profile creation process continues for several more pages, and covers a vast number of topics. Some of them are rather typical, such as what movies you like to see or what your personal habits are, whereas some of them are more unique. A lot of the answers on the site are humorous: for example, when asked about your personality type, right next to “Party Starter” is “Fire Starter”.
The next to last page of profile creation asks about your views, and covers the political and religious spectrums as well as the more detailed leanings of your answers – denomination, service attendance, etc. The last page of the profile creation is a rather upfront series of questions about what you’re looking for on the site, and even goes into detail about what sexual activities you do and don’t prefer. Once you’ve completed all of these pages (seven in total) and upload a photo, your profile status bar will reach 100%.
You don’t have to fill out all the pages of the profile in order to start on the site, however. You can immediately start searching for matches based on location, gender, age, etc. All searching is done from a menu on the left hand side of the site, which allows you to dynamically change what settings you want to search with, and with a quick click it turns into an advanced search with each part of a standard profile listed, in order to filter out results to find exactly what you’re looking for. Clicking on a profile instantly brings up that person’s page, and you can view their complete profile and any pictures they’ve uploaded.
You can send a pre-written flirt to anyone you like, as well as add them to your favorites or your ‘Little Black Book’, a site feature that lets you privately IM someone or see their ‘other’ photos. Sexual material is allowed on the site, although public photos have to show at least a minor amount of discretion. At the end of the day, MarriedButPlaying.com is a full featured site for free and paid members alike, and offers a lot of things that other sites don’t. The upfront nature of the profiles and expectation of outright honesty is slightly cheapened by the lack of verification on photos, but with so many members to search through, it’s likely that you (and yours) can find whomever(s) you’re looking for.
